. . . on the Oehms label has been their stunning hi-rez SQ on their SACD incarnations - I'm thinking of the Tchaikovsky Manfred and Pathetique symphonies. However, I'd say the performances of these two symphonies are very good, rather than outstanding. It seems as if his Oehms Rachmaninoff symphonies are only available on plain old CD, a music carrier which of course can be very good in itself, but sometimes lacks the dynamic and frequency extensions of hi-rez media (of which, I must say, SACD is my least favorite, despite the many outstanding recordings which have appeared in that format). Also, I'm not sure I'm up for this new Rachmaninoff series without the multi-channel capability.
(BTW, yes, my comment about the (bargain)-countertenor was in jest - per the smiley face.)

Even CD quality, I really like the SQ of this label.Working my way(slowly) through this 12 CD set on QOBUZ.

BTW, if you like the that Bruckner set (and I've got the actual CD's in an earlier Oehms incarnation - they're great!), I can also vouch for Mr. S's (as they used to call him in Minneapolis) Schumann and Beethoven sets on the same label. In general, these are Toscanini-style performances, with tremendous push and energy. (I just wish I could get them in hi-rez multichannel!)
