I was lucky enough to catch Mr. Jackson live with the Buddy Rich Orchestra when they played my college around 1975/76ish. He had more hair then but still played in his traditional sitting position. As demanding as Buddy Rich was Jackson was more than up to the task and it was a great evening of music.

So the link is a video shot at the show I was at Sunday. I helped the guy and got him a stool to stand upon. You'll get this I think but I've seen WK and KC before many times but not AJ. When I fist saw him play I started smiling and watching him gettin' into the groove really was nice. Brought a tear to my eye. 45 years I've been enjoying his playing....they do a little can't touch this riff here

edit: around 5:30-5:40 WK goes to AJ to show him what to play on the sheet music and uses his ring modulator -fun!

Excellent. I wish more videos would focus on the drummer like that.
Happy listening,
Jim
