I can't name the pianist, or the sax player, or the guitarist, but I'm
guessing the trombonist might be Bill Harris, but I ain't bettin' the farm
on it. And it sounds to me like the sax player is one who is strongly
under the influence of Lester Young.
Follow Ups:
Mike -
perhaps J.J. Johnson on trombone?
And if it is JJ, then the sax might just be Getz. The two made several
recordings for Verve.
I have listened to the OP clip, I am coming up w/ nothing?
We can observe that the version in question, in on CD because the AYRE player is spinning...
Another thought, people that demo these systems (mostly) use Audiophile versions/pressings - I am thinking that possibly, it is a European/Japan Jazz group playing the track?
Hi Mike,
I do appreciate that much, as it does give me names to look into, as well as a start which is all that I can ask.
So I thank you for that much......
