I received this announcement from the Baltimore Symphony today:
"With great regret, Hilary Hahn has cancelled her concerts for the coming month on the advice of her physician. These withdrawals are crucial to allow her to recover fully from a muscle strain. Ms. Hahn will resume her performance schedule in the middle of October."
Bummer.
Happy listening,

...has her popularity waned that much? She can't get enough Top 10 orchestra dates any more?

I don't think her popularity has waned. For example, she's scheduled to perform the Bach Concertos here in Cleveland this season. Many of the highly regarded soloists give some performances with orchestras that have less cachet.
I hope she has a full recovery soon.

yes, affected our listening. We bought tickets and went to Hollywood Bowl for my birthday, sans Hahn. Sub Alina P. We felt lack of balance, very soft miking for her, loud power for cellist deMaine, and the conductor was bad (sorry) and orchestra seemed to play pre occupied.
HH is indeed a babe!
