"You weren't afraid of being born--why would you be afraid of dying?" Alan Watts
Follow Ups:
But I am afraid to die, nevertheless.
Reminds me of the one about Tazio Nuvolari - often injured seriously - when asked did he accept that he might die in another crash and asked where he got the courage to get back into a racing car, asked the journalist where he expected to die, reply 'in bed', asked then how do you find the courage to get into one every night?
It is a great piece.
Wait until I have edited it. Not a lot of work, but I need to get into the station to do it.

And yes, I'd to hear the recording when you've finished editing it.
As for the Alan Watts quote, the trick is understanding what is meant by 'you'. If you've ever read anything about eastern philosophies, Watts is not talking about the usual Western concept of the individual, or the 'ego'.
