I have a Magtech with ARC Ref5SE and think it sounds really good. However, I am considering the Merrill Veritas.
Follow Ups:
Ah yes,
the ARC LS-17se is said to have some trickle down R&D from the ARC Ref-5 .
It would seem your gears listening experience would be a fairly good comparison as to expectations here, should I trade out the A21 amp with the Magtech , re tone .
Helpful comparison as I contemplate an upgrade to my systems power amplification .
Thanx,

I almost bought the A21 for my first amp for my 1.7i's but went with Odyssey instead. I've never heard the A21 but can say that the Magtech sounds very good with the 3.7i's. It's very neutral sounding.
Sorry to have missed your posts contribution to the thread, as I seem to not be receiving requested email notices on threads activity and of course my own mistake.
I too looked into the Amp you decided upon , a fine choice !
I really can't fault the A-21 as both the myself and the 3.7is are demanding of it, only perhaps more so than its capacity to deliver .
While awaiting delivery of the 3.7i new replacements I am presently enjoying this system with the A21 driving my theatres (7.1 reference series ) Klipsch floorstander 2ea 6.5 & Tractrix Horn tweeter (1800 crossover) 8 ohm 97db -
With outstanding results enough so as to be remarkable and entertaining with wider than the walls soundstaging with height & depth with great contrasting dynamic details on display - Settles (for me) the age old debate of which is most important transducer or source component chain . Quite the beautiful presentation really with these $300. ea closeout floorstanders .
What I have experimented with to very positive effect is direct wall plug in Rather than the Furman Power Conditioner . Much improved dynamics just an effortless flow . I now really want to try "direct wall plug in" with the system as constituted , when the 3.7is return .
I signed on to whole home surge protection with the insurance policy it affords for gear or else I would not have ever tried direct wall plug in especially here in Florida - In the summer rainy season passing quick hit hellacious lightning storms are frequent !
However, the benefit I'm experiencing with "Direct" is easily worth the risk - though I plan to easily unplug the system during forecasted days of frequent lightning storms here .
The point is, I now highly encourage "Direct Wall Plug In" of high current amplifiers - Old timers do so presupposed , I'm sure of it ;')
- Good Listening
