Well, seems like you have two options - get a powerful backup amp like the W4S ST1000, or get a Sanders Magtech for its lifetime warranty and ample power.
Your listening habits obviously require full power or keep the A21 and go with subwoofers to reduce the power requirement.

Thanx guy distilling my options,
Right, I just returned an Aurender N-10 and kept the Aurender A-10 as the N-10 didn't match well with my DAC Auralic Vega ( AQuest coffee AES interconnect, even) relative to the A-10. So there is some savings there to be applied to either the $5,500 Magtech or a pair of JC-1 monoblocks demos @ Audio Advisor for 7k for my end of life hobby budget -
Hey it's supposed to be a prorated tax write off as it is for my health and quality of life, as I keep telling my DOC and other(s ;')
Regards
Completely agree, and you should write up a claim to your health insurance and tell them it is a bargain compared to a companion pony's stabling and cleanup fees.
See my comment above on your overdamped room.
I run a pair of Magnepan 3.7's and recently moved to a pair of Spectron amps bridged into mono. Speaker cables also by Spectron with speakon amp connections. Spectacular sound to my ear. Was well worth the effort to get them.
I have a friend using a Spectron on his box planar VMPS RM30 and thinks they are spectacular. He has compared them to tweaked CJ, and Parasound A21.
I had class a/b Rowland monos before the Spectrons and the Spectrons are a very significant improvement.
I don't like your last suggestion. IMO a subwoofer should be just that -- an extension of the main speakers going into the lower reaches -- but should not replace the bass that the speakers already have. In other words, I don't think a sub should be used to "relieve the load" on the amp. My sub kicks in at ~36 Hz just as the 3.7i starts to fade.
It might be different for a HT setup, but HT ain't music in my mind.
I married the perfect woman. The downside is everything that goes wrong is my fault.
