You do not need replacement panels!, it doesn't matter if they're gunned or stock, the wire has simply become unglued and 'lifted', the only money you need to spend is on a can of acetone and DAP glue (total less than $10).The acetone is to make sure the old glue is removed and a secure bond is ensured.
The hardest part is undoing the staples to remove the cloth. But give PG a call anyway, won't hurt.

He has a bit of an updated procedure, sounds much easier than the other articles make it out to be!
Spray one even coat of DAP touch & tone on the driver, then use the other DAP to stick the wires back down. The touch & tone I guess takes care of the old bad adhesive without having to use acetone plus prevents further delamination.

Personally I'd do it the old way. I'd be careful of the amount sprayed on the 'naked' mylar. One school of thought is it does no harm, the other being the amount of mass added (albeit negligible) hampers it's ability to reveal "macro detail".But 'even if' the second theory holds absolutely no truth to it, my neurosis brain would never be convinced.
Again, IMHO.

thanks, yeah I realized that right after I posted, all the better, no need to get 'under the hood' if the hood's already removed.
Best if she can post a pic of the area(s) affected.
