I am seeking advice on where to place some QRD diffusors on my sloped ceiling, to diffuse the rear wave coming off my front wall? My Magnepan 3.6 fire into a corner, that has several QRD diffusors in the vertical position for diffusion in the horizontal plane.I thought perhaps I should use a 45' degree angle from the diffusor to the ceiling to give me an approx. spot to place my diffusors. Which will be in the horizontal position for vertical diffusion.
Overall the room is a rectangle with speakers at the narrow end of the sloping ceiling and along the short wall. I have corner bass traps floor to ceiling in all corners, the speakers are about 5' from the corner. A Maggie dealer suggested that spot for the midbass and he was right.
Tweets are to the inside, I like a strong center image. 12'5 wide by 26'long. For me Linkiwitz's advise to absorb the rear of the room, and diffuse the front seems to be working very well. I've tried the opposite and did not like it.

Do you have diffusion on the front wall and the ceiling is sloping at a height lower than the top of the speakers, thereby creating a vertical asymmetry in the front wall reflections?
Are you sure you really have reflections from the diffused front wall going off the ceiling? The speakers are rather directional in the vertical so there would be relatively little to worry about on that count.
Perhaps my experience in my old apt setting is giving me some preconceived ideas. In that setting the Maggies were much close to the and the ceiling was flat, no diffusors behind the speakers then just absorbers.
Anyway the diffusors on ceiling seemed to be a big help, however with my current setup perhaps I should rethink this, thanks.
Planar speakers in general have less vertical dispersion meaning less energy heading to the floor and ceiling.
Treating an area that is being hit by the reflection of an existing diffusors energy will also be of of reduced energy.
Treating other areas before the ceiling would be more effective.
you can play around with placing the diffuser on the floor and mimcing the behavior for the ceiling geometrically...
I tend to agree that the ceiling diffuser is not going to get near the energy that the rear diffusers "see".
