I'm supposed to be upgrading my active crossovers. I was totally fine with my outboard tweeter/midrange passive crossover on my 3.6s when I stumbled upon Humble Homemade HiFi today. I found they've added a review for some new Duelund Silver Foil Wax & Oil .01 uF bypass capacitors. I've got plenty of space for them....
Looks interesting. Anyone see these?

The Duelund caps have a great reputation, though also notoriously expensive. Try it out if you can afford to. Not everyone likes bypassing. For maggies 1-5% of the capacitance in high quality foil caps is enough. It can result in softening the top end if you use too much.
Duelund's reputation is well deserved for sound, high cost, and being a real PITA for break-in. I ordered the .01uF silver bypass caps and will put them across that big 17.1 uF tweeter cap on the left after I burn them in for a few days:
I'm not a fan of silver, but we'll see. I completely rewired these 3.6s with both Neotech UPOCC copper & a little silver wiring, but later decided to remove the silver because I didn't like the sound of it.
Try it out, but considering that your caps are already top notch parts I doubt you would benefit just from having a bypass. Tell us what you find out.
With this kind of high quality XO component complement you should be paying more attention to the parts in your electronics. Those bypass caps may be more effective in your preamp and power amp's input and driver stages and even in PS caps. .
Well maybe. There's really not much electronics work left to do. Listening to a lot of music.
