They will go in for mods to their protection systems, and a check-up, and then we begin. Serial numbers are 21,xxx.I listened to them for an hour playing-loud, no noise, no rattles, no buzz. And then we boxed them up, the seller strapped them into his Hi-Lux and followed me home.
He's bought a pair of black demonstrator Verity Sarastros, which I listened to as well, nice speakers. A bit QUAD like. Probably play louder, too.
Runs a big Halcro power amp, which didn't hurt with the 63s!

Eventually I will finish the two sealed sub enclosures waiting in the garage. Clam-shelled / push-pull 12s in the biggest and PP 10s in the other one. Likely with a lower xover point, but still likely asymmetrical slopes. For the spheres, the crossover will be HP 1st @ 150Hz into the 63's amp, and LP 3rd @ 150Hz. PLL HP, and PLL plus active 2nd, into the sphere's amp.
Two pairs of spheres will face down - slot loaded - into their big circular pavers, this tunes the system a little lower.
Each 63 on its stand will have its outer edge close to the wall and angled in. This worked quite well a few years back when I had the loaner pr of 63s.
A sphere against the wall down in front, and one behind and out from the wall. So that they are driving the room from different points - ala Duke Le Jeune's 4 sub arrays?
Each L & R feed to the sphere's amp will be eq'd using a 1/3rd octave equaliser. I will be borrowing an RTA and mike. Have a tripod already.
I expect there will be quite a bit of learning, until the set up is 'stable', and using subs.
More? Rear surround with differential delay, bits bought but yet to assemble. I may use one pair of the bigger spheres, close to the floor and in corners or beside the wall - for that. OR distributed small rb boxes with Fostex 103s, of which I have a few.
The other pair of the (8" 2-way) spheres might go to an old friend, which would at least stop his wife putting flower pots on his speakers!! ;-) And I'd also get a pair of spkr stands back! ;-)
