I looked into powder coating my MG3A stands, when I switched from white socks to black. Most places wanted over $250 to do them, the paint job has held up quite well. As much as I would like a powder-coat - I think I will paint these to.
A powder coating system for $150.
I get stuff powder coated for $15-25 a peice...

Did you check with a motorcycle or auto custom shop? The prices I see around here seem to suggest under $50.
That is crazy high. Even an off the street customer shouldn't pay over $100 for a set of stands. Powder bonds great and gives a near perfect appearance, paint not as easily but you can make it happen.
