excellent recording, great height, depth, width. Spectacular dynamics, albeit a wee bit shy on bass.
If you want bass, check out Wynton Marsalis 'Carnival'; as the name implies it's a collection of classic 'carnival' atmospheric songs with plenty of cymbal crashes and deep, deep bass drums and tubas! You can almost smell the cotton candy and popcorn ! He also does a great 'flight of the bumble bee'.
Enjoy!

Am I the only one that misses something in posts like this. What recording are you talking about? Is there supposed to be a link somewhere?
Is this a continuation of some other post?

I enjoy the entire disc, stand outs include the Rond-finale, Nachtmusik, Andante amoroso-

I am assuming you are refering to the Dudamel conducting the Simon Bolivar Symphony?
this is the one I bought

That is a great performance of a great Mahler symphony, Green Lantern. You might also enjoy a DVD of the same work by the same conductor; it has excellent sound and the video really shows the orchestra in action. The musicians here were all hand-picked by the conductor, Abbado.
Happy listening!
