I found this on eBay...a set of T-IV's available for sale. I know that these are in great demand so I thought I would pass this along to those who might be interested. I have nothing to do with this sale, I just ran across it as I was perusing eBay...Hope someone gets these as if they are as good a condition as they say, then it appears to be a good buy.

They must have been refurbished recently for that price.
I am not sure what the going price should be but i know these rarely come up so that is why I posted them. They state that they are in good shape but nothing about being refurbished so "caveat emptor"
A mate of mine got hold of some T1-Ds a few months ago, for a knock-down price. However, he's just found out that he needs to have all 4 bass panels re-wired - cost, around A$1,400 ... or ~USD1,000.

Unless your mate was a magician, he would be fortunate if that was the totality of the cost in getting those 40 year old speakers sounding and performing like new, (and additionally for a couple of years). If they'd also have to look like new, the cost would even have to be greater.
The only panels left are the double-magnet mids. So, yes, that's potentially another A$700.
He's already paid A$1,750 for braced stands for 6 panels ... and the next outlay will be for hardwood frames. But the state of his eyesight is such that he's not into DIY himself - luckily for him, as a mate, I'm not charging him for my labour. :-))
When all is done ... they will be better than new!
Regards,
Andy
"double-magnet mids"
There are no mids in the I-D but tweeters with magnets both sides of the diaphragm.

I was told it would cost 2000 for a total rebuild of my T1D's if everything had to be replaced. I talked to the factory last week...... plus shipping of course.
