Awesome thanks I think he appears to do the best mods. Wonder why he gave it up if he did.
I heard back from Scott and he had to give up his audio line of business - he also made stepped attenuators and a few other things - in 2011 when his day job got to be too much to do both.
Still, you've got his DIY instructions that you (or someone you know who is handy with electronics) can use to do the modification.

Thanks for the effort. I will probably go with Ashton's mods. Satie looked them over and he thought they would be sufficient. I am using my TGP-5 as a volume control using straight analog inputs unaffected by the DSP in any way. I will need a selector as suggested by Satie as well. Not sure what the signal path would be and how the selector would fit in. If you notice he mentioned I coudl use a cheap preamp with s selector switch. so I guess I will have to ask him.
