I'd suggest 12-gauge, oxygen free copper cable from Monoprice. A 50-foot spool is under $50. For a quality commercial cable, I'd suggest solid core Anti Cables (see link below)

I'm a firm believer in regular copper cable with a good connection. That way you will hear your system the way it is. You can then tune your system with other (Expensive cables) to your liking.
My opinion is if you need special cable you didn't buy or match up up the right equipment.
I'm currently using Radio Shack Mega cable (Don't know if its still made. and I have what I consider a substantial system
from the Audioquest website:
SOLID LONG-GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTOR
what I am really wondering is regarding the design of the speaker and the load it puts on an amplifier, I thought may require special wire to help the amplifier perform.
I am considering Anti cables as many people with Maggies seem to like them

I'd like to 2nd those that like Anti-Cables. I compared them to MIT, Nordost and Audioquest cables ( I was a dealer). They outperformed all in terms of resolution, high / low tonality and image detail. The manufacture let me play with them for a month at no cost. I was very detailed in the research, letting cables break-in after every move.
Ended up selling my MIT's and Nordost Quattro Fils. Bought the Anti cables and pocketed $ 700 . After 2 years I'm thrilled with them.

Maggies are pretty much a 4 ohm resistive load. They simply need enough power to drive them but otherwise I don't feel they are a problem load

I am pretty darn happy with the sound really
I am probably hearing the Outlaw Audio amp for the $600 ss gear it is
so check, Type 4 is OK
I just wanted to make sure I had no glaring omissions in the stereo chain
