Haven't posted for awhile .. moved to Dallas. Found this listing on Craigslist and thought someone might be interested:

The Manepans seem like an extra. Have to look to find it. It has been up for 5 days.
Follow Ups:
A set of V 2Cs here are on cl for 300. I'm letting both pair be just that 2C speakers no suffixes. The 2.5/R I sold was fully rebuilt and right and went for a couple bills less.
Not a bad price on the Vandies!
A lot of money for a pair of MG 2.5!
If he had them on ebay or audigon (along with a good write up) he'll get a good price for em' I bet. Jim Winey once called them his favorite speaker, and not surprisingly since it's about as close to a MG1.6 with a true ribbon tweeter as you're gonna get.
.
But not as rare as these, http://tinyurl.com/poqug2j
I have a set of T-IIIA but mine need rewiring. They are not for sale either...
add a true ribbon to T-IIIs, to make it worthwhile paying for their re-wiring.
Also, not many people have the room size to cope with those (compared to 2.5s)! :-))
Regards,
Andy
Yes, a ribbon would be fine but I have thinner Mylar and a lower mass wiring for the tweeters. It is probably as far as you can take a Magneplanar tweeter. You need to do the rewiring by yourself or find some that can help you. Sending them to Magnepan for rebuild is kind of expensive...
Yes, these are large speakers but mine are modified, split into two speakers. At least that is shape they had many years ago. I have the bare drivers stored in my garage.
