Here is Australia there are at least 3 people who can fix them, one in each of our 3 largest cities, so I suppose, statistcially, its can't be too hard to find someone who can fix them

How do they compare, if you know, to others around the world? One hears of Wayne in Florida and Arend-Jan in the Netherlands. I only know of Sheldon in Aus - who else is there?
I ask as I've not yet located a Quad ESL specialist in NZ that I can ask to help me with mine.

Hi
If Melbourne Australia is close enough to you there is John Hall. He does excellent work on all Quad ESL models.
Otto Major used to work in Sydney. I do not know if he is still active.
If you have contact details for either of them, please send me a PM. Ta!

Here in the U.S., I know of Wayne Piquet in Florida and Sheldon Stokes (Ohio?) and then there's Kent at Electrostatic Solutions in Kansas. While all three can repair any Quad (far as I know) I think Wayne and Sheldon focus a little more on the original ESL (57) and Kent on ESL-63's and their later models.

I think I will need someone near NZ. Both Wayne and Arend-Jan seem to offer great work but the shipping costs and extra charges seem a bit of a stretch right now - given how much work my whole system needs. Thanks anyway.

i have used Christian Felaife in Sydney- I heard about hom on this forum, so other people have used him too (and when I took my speakers to him I found out we had several non-audio friends in common). He charges around $300Aus per panel for regluing (it may be more now). He guarantees his glue is better than quads and will last forever. Of course, the guarantee is only in his lifeteime..He did my esl63's and they are as sweet as 57's with the advantages of 63's.
The ditch, of course, is pretty big so it would be costly and perhaps risky to try him.
If you have contact details, please send me a PM. Ta!
