I am a little surprised at the pairing of sensitive DeVore speakers with such powerful amps.
That combo is way overkill for even a large room.

These Amps even dwarf the ARC mono blocks , lit up like candles.. The room was 25'x35' The sound (opera and rock) filled the room).. My reaction was that it was more silken than live music but clear as hell.... I was not trying to make a judgement of either amps or speakers. Could not identify the front end cd/processor but it did create a depth and panoramic space from no matter where you stood. Think they are driving them with Berning now. Did wonder what the De Vore top of the line speakers would sound like with less stellar equipment however.
The Berning Z amps are a better power match.
I am a bit surprised with the imaging performance off the sweet spot. Only the 8khz resonance is strong off axis.

I will go b a ck to see if my impressions are consistent . I once owned the OHM's F and Cosmostatic's(Hybrid omnidirectional electrostatic.) and the set up I heard gave a sense of freedom that I had with the omni-directional speakers. I do not know why. But I did get the impression that sound was being 'shaped' by some sort of processor. Sorry that I have not been very helpful. An interesting note STEREO EXCHANGE a much larger store on Broadway, directly down the block has also picked the De Vore recently, but they are placed in a smaller listening room.
