This is the crossover utilized in the Magnestand 3.6. It's a series conversion but with the tweeter driven via a standard parallel network.

Yep. Which is quite a departure from the stock 3.6 crossover which uses a fairly steep electrical filter on the midrange top end.
The ribbon tweeter in this configuration is not embraced for its advantages but viewed more as an augmentation super-tweeter.You'd have to ask PG's crossover design guy what he was thinking, but since they approached everything from the series configuration paradigm a "hybrid" setup like this emerged.
Interesting horizontal polar response in the upper end I would imagine.
