Thanks, but it is still not quite clear to me. I have relabeled my earlier picture.
How I understand it that you have connected them:
A -> 1 AND A -> 2
C -> 3 AND C -> 4
B -> 5 AND B -> 6
D -> 7 AND D -> 8
Is this correct? If not, can you tell me where each cable goes on your setup (I guess I'm a bit slow... )

I think your answer is posted on the Planar Circle of Audio Circle. There are two voice grids that drive the same woofer panel in each DWM.Basically A -> 1 AND C -> 3 AND B -> 5 AND D -> 7 with one amp and two DWMs gives you smoother bass.
A -> 1 AND C -> 3 AND B -> 2 AND D -> 4 with Amp 1 and A -> 5 AND C -> 7 AND B -> 6 AND D -> 8 with Amp 2 gives you more bass volume and smoother bass.
Positioning the DWMs next to the side walls will also provide more bass volume, whether you are using one amp or two.
Finally, if you are just using one DWM it should be centered between your main speakers for correct stereo balance.

Thanks for the reply and pointing me to the other forum. They are struggling with the same issues that I have. If you only connect one 'side' of the DWM then hypothetically you only use half of the potential output. To introduce an extra amplifier for the other half seems a bit overkill (I already use two mono blocks and one stereo amplifier) and I'm not clear if connecting them in parallel would be better.
But who am I to complain? It all sounds magical already, if I could only suppress the urge to try to improve it even further I'm sure that I would be very happy indeed!
