But, yes, Tasmanians are generally pretty weird! :-))
The 2-frame construction is the main reason I wouldn't swap my Frankenpans for 20.Xs - even if I could afford them (which I can't!).

Yeah, I know. Just wanted to kick start some nationalistic fervor. LOL!
At the high resolving levels of (well-fed) ribbon tweeters, I have to agree. Anything one can do to "leave them alone" in the framework has got to be a good thing.
Tell me again (the old brain cell misfires), what's the amp that drives just the tweeters these days?
no change, yet, JBen. I have had the new mid & ribbon amp modules (NAKSA 80s) sitting in a box since Jan but have not got around to fitting them - mainly bcoz I will need to take 2 weeks off, to be able to finish them on consecutive days ... rather than being without music for 3 months, if I can only do them at weekends.

Andy
So sorry that you are about to come down with Audiophile Flu. I am sure your boss will understand that you just canīt work for the next two weeks. If you want, I can provide a doctor's note :).

Actually, neo ... I do have that doctor's note (for reasons that I won't go into, here! :-)) ) Only for this next week, though.
Regards,
Andy
