Return to Planar Speaker Asylum

I just got a new pair of MMGs and am curious to know why the two speakers do not have the same number of diaphragm anchors. I think some refer to them as buttons. One panel has three and the other has only one. I talked to a lady at Magnepan who was clueless. I know the MG12s, 1.6s and 1.7s all have three each.

for even response left to right. MMGs often will have three buttons on one panel and two on the other.

I only called them anchors because that's what the lady at Magnepan called them. But like I said she sounded kind of clueless.

The unequal numbers of buttons/clamps use to be that way for the smaller models. Some of the other models you mention use to have the buttons/clamps placed slightly different between the left and right speaker.
