I notice you are in Malaysia - have you al;lowed for the time difference when trying to call Magnepan? They certainly do answer their phone - I've even rung them from Australia.

Yes I have allowed difference in time etc. I tried quite a few times, both Sheila as well as the general line went unanswered. Perhaps it was some kind of a holiday or something.
Nevertheless, my technician has been able to rewire a new tweeter free hand without the spacers. Hopefully this will hold at least till the new tonearm is fined tuned by the designer.
I have mixed experience of contacting Magnepan. I prefer mail or E-Mail, it is more to the point. Phone is not, there is a chance of misunderstanding. My last purchase went wrong, got the wrong foil conductor. Magnepan was not sure what to recommend as a replacement of the AWG 32 round wire. Remember, someone did that operation on a 3-series and showed it here on Wendell Diller's recommendation? They sent me the foil used for the mids of 3.7, far too thick (more like AWG 29). For us outside, E-Mail is possible but use to take its time to have an answer.
Like yourself, I would very much prefer to correspond by email too but as of yet been unable to find any email address and also nobody has seen fit to share. I think it has been brought up quite a few times before that users not from CONUS have been a little fustrated with this but there is no point beating a dead horse.
On the positive side, apart from the tweeter giving out due to probably hard playing on my part, it really is quite spectacular the 20.7s. So much so that I am still on the fence about moving on to another make of speakers. It would be a sad day for me if I do make that decision.
PoisonM,
You can have their E-Mail adress from me but I don't have yours.
Much appreciated RG. Have emailed you.
