Spoken this morning by my son's friend who asked to hear my "stereo": "I have listened to this song hundreds of times and I never heard it sound like that! Where is she coming from?"
Norah Jones, "Come Away With Me"

In of itself, that remark, could have two very different takes. ;-)
.
Appreciate the remark, but don't particularly care for Norah Jones. To me every one of her songs sounds the same.

I have that cd and it's pretty decent (to me anyways), and well recorded.
Tell you what though- I can tolerate her more than I can Diana Kralls; for whom I never quite understood her popularity.
I first took notice of her voice in her performance of the "American Anthem" in Ken Burns' Documentary, "The War", and I just loved listening to her:

(I have it "The War" DVD, BD, a soundtrack disc, and another anthology.)
Nothing else that I heard from her other recordings sounded as appealing. Perhaps others can offer some recommendations?
