I'm just curious, if you do have a REL Strata subwoofer with your Quads, where have you placed the adjustments for the rolloff. In my case it's kept pretty minimal. The course adjustment is at (A) and the fine adjustment is at (6). It seems if I go any higher, the windows rattle, and the male voice is too low and distorted also on jazz records, the bass is too prominent. I move the course up a notch or two if I want to show off the lows on an organ LP and that's about it, but a male human voice just can't handle it, -nether can my windows.
Is it currently in the corner of the room?

However, it's a large bay window where we also have a grand piano. I suppose I should try to find a better location.
When I had the Strata with my Quads, my settings were essentially the same as yours.
