Hi there gents
Thanks muchly for looking! Question for you learned gents...
As I understand it, the 57 has quite a varying impedance curve.
And so, to assist one in selecting a sufficiently suitable amplifier for the 57..... using real world musical programme material, how many amps would an "unthrottled" 57 actually draw in these regions of low impedance if fed via a large american "battleship" format amplifier?
Regards and thanks!
kowtim,
I suggest you use the experience and recommendations of the inmates to narrow down some choices to try yourself. If you want to know how much current ESLs can draw then see the link.

Hi 13DoW!
Thanks so much for the reply. The link you gave was EXTREMELY useful. I am asking the question more to ascertain what the requirement of the output stage should be for ones chosen power amp. I wish to play around with a few DIY amps of my own and your figures are Magically helpful!
Regards and thanks!
