130K Pretty freaky. Brown asked for fed help. Haven't heard if it will be coming. It's likely I'll be moving up to somewhere in that general area. I will pay attention to flood possibilities. Fingers crossed. T456

Major Tr*mp territory up there, so hopefully he'll fast-track some aid if necessary. I guess it's a good thing these counties didn't become the self-sufficient State of Jefferson just yet. Could you imagine having an hour to vacate your house?Looks like the dam's going to hold together for now, but more rain next week, believe it or not. I had no idea it was one of the biggest in CA.

They are trying to pull the lake down by it's boot straps by 50 ft. Gravity is just another free ride. That's a huge amount of water. Maybe they want to get ready for more rain? Hopefully at least some people will be able to go home soon.

They'll probably have to wait for the storms to come through later this week before being given the all clear.
Oroville is very close to the base of the dam. Not somewhere I would live, if possible.
If you live around that area I have to move from near SF soon. Let me know if you have any suggestions for a blue area maybe within 40 min or so of Sac. out of flooding danger. A pretty, near country setting would be nice. Going up there after the rainy season to check it out. Need very reasonable rent , perfect year round weather, clean air and hopefully the ocean will rise up high enough so I can go to the beach. That should lower the rent in the Bay area. I'm guessing somewhere in Yolo Co. T456
