Several have told me that German designed cars are designed to be driven at the absolute fastest they can go, by normal people.

Nobody else makes cars and tests them for driving at the max.

  But the thing is american cars do NOT sell well there.
  No american car made the top 30 sales list in Germany. There are Fords in there but they are Focus, Fiesta and Ka. All small european designs, the Focus being the largest of the 3.
