Rescued a cute young tuxedo cat called Buddy from our bedroom window ledge, in the pouring rain.
Stupid owners won't keep it IN.

Good for ya!
Stupid pet owners? Unfortunately they are pretty common around here. Coyotes are abundant, and the lives of cats and small dogs in these parts (when they are left outside to their own devices) are short and their demise is painful.
I've been living here for over thirty years and it never ceases to amaze me how callous some pet owners are. I've witnessed several cats and a small dog or two get snatched from a neighbors yard by a coyote in broad daylight. We even have organized a coyote watch where several neighbors with varmint rifles take turns scoping out well traveled coyote trails in an attempt to keep the population at least under control. When people who are new to the area make the mistake of leaving their pets outdoors any one of the locals (myself included) will kindly inform them of the risk entailed. Time after time their response usually goes like this - "we moved to the country so our animals could be free". How selfish can you get?
Invariably, within a short period of time, an e-mail gets sent to all the neighbors - " have you seen our little (insert name and description here), he's been missing for several days and we really miss him"?
Sorry, but that's too late.
So if you didn't let it in, it would have died ? No. He (she) would have eventually gone home.
Cat fights are not good for cats, nor their owners budgets. As we know too well.Mt Taylor Estate is not a safe place for young newly arrived, spayed male cats - naive ones.
There are several large, territorial, mature male 'pet' cats, who are aggressive, with WGAS owners.
We are within a nature park, and there are feral foxes, wild (feral cross with dingo) dogs, and feral tom-cats, who visit regularly, and kill pet cats.
Buddy would not be older than 6 months, he was wet, and he was crying. I could not know how far away he was from, nor how close he turned out to b e based. Never seen him before.
LBNLeast!? Dondi Trollop was throwing herself in spitting puff-ball fury at the window, from inside.
And, letting him in was not in my plans, ever. Finding the human's who were responsible for a kitten being out in the poring rain was my aim, and I did.
Situation needed resolution, and got it. Temporary I'd ween.
The witless woman - whose daughter's cat Buddy is - was full of excuses, but that's all too typical.
Peace now reigns, and I've made friends with Buddy.
Our two are now kept in by the very successful clear-plastic spike strips.

Somebody needed to do it. I expect that you will be rewarded.
...yours!
And, our two are our last pets.
We want to travel.
