A very fun car! Not a lot of horsepower, but a lot of "stick" to make up for it. It sits very low so if that is an issue seek something else. But if you are looking for driving fun in something a little bigger than a Miata, this is your car.

More interested in good, quick handling characteristics in a fairly economical and reliable package.
The Miata idea also sounds interesting.
Unless you put a small block in that Miata most car guys will think you are gay.....just sayin
Interesting as to why this might be though. I don't bother to categorize things that way but I can understand why others might. In some parts of the country at least, ANY compact car is considered to be a "girl car" and/or a "gay" car. Hey, if a man can even fit inside of small car, he is suspected of being gay or at least a wimp of some sort!
And while it might be true that gay men SOMETIMES seek to identify themselves by consciously following certain fashion trends I think you'll find that gay men nowadays drive all sorts of vehicles.
I'm not gay but I'm so far out of the mainstream in my ways of thinking that little or nothing that is "normal" matters much to me. For the most part, I've been driving small and nimble cars for decades and I'm not going to stop anytime in the foreseeable future.
Big cars have their place too but I'm definitely more of a minimalist when it comes to anything related to the oil and gas industry.

Ah go all out..Get a Shelby Mustang and enjoy life or even a Z28. This is 2014 but it's hard to argue with.

I have driven both and they are lots of fun. If you like old English sport cars take the Miyta. If you want something a little more "subdued " take a look at the BRZ.
If you can find a road race country club in your area, stop by. You will notice a lot of Miyatas! Very good handling and a lot of fun for relatively little cash. And lots of people use them for weekend racing. All kinds of Miyata clubs in my area.
