I'll take some new pics as well.I had a red 69 before which I traded for this plus and I got money on top. This is just after it was repainted by Doug Valerio.I had rebuilt six automatic transmissions for him and he bought the kits and brought me the transmissions. They were all going into street rods.Anyway he supplied all the paint, clearcoat, and the rest of the stuff although I did supply the left rear quarter panel. It would have cost me 6800 for all he did..He did have the car for 13 months tho.The car is at a friend's house who has a beautiful pull barn where we work on our cars and he has a 69 Mach1. I'm having the console door recovered because I can't find one and I'm also putting on a new speaker grill in the passenger door. I will take updated photos in about a month.
Interesting story on how I got the new quarter panel.A guy was selling a bunch of 2 watt Allen Bradley pots on Ebay and I won the auction. When I paid him on Paypal,I complemented his car which was a 57 Chevy convertible which I could see in his Ebay photo.Anyway,I told him I have a 70 Cougar convertible and he said you won't believe this but I have a brand new rear quarter panel for a Cougar covt. He lived in Denver so I figured even if it wasn't new but in really good shape,I would take it.Not only was it new,it still had the Ford stickers on it and protection wrap. The numbers were exactly what I needed and I was willing to pay 1500 dollars all day long for it.I asked how much he wanted for it and he said,400 bucks and it's yours and I'll even ship it..It came in a GM body part's box but after that,Larry and i have been buds ever since. How he ended up it was a guy owed him money for work he did and he gave him that and a bunch of trim pieces for a Studebaker Lark.
Before you ask,the plate says MS Merc.I'll give you 3 guesses what it stands for.LOL

Looks like it's in great shape. I considered buying another a couple years ago, but needed a DD and it just lacks a bit for me for daily use. Would love to have another for a weekend car one day...
Tnanks..Yes,it's in excellent shape because it's restored but there was no rust or unibody damage which is what you want to start with.
