I'm happy for the Cleveland fans.I am personally not a fan of the Warriors style of catch and shoot from 32 feet play.
If I want to see a bunch of shooters, I could go down to the local Y and watch that AAU style of play. Sorry, in my opinion basketball is and should be more than a shooting contest.
Real athletes play above the rim. 6' 8", 265 lbs, and freaky fast - That's special. 6' 1" and 180 lbs - Yawn........The game of professional basketball is for genetic superiors, not genetic average.
Coincidentally, the USGA US Open was won this weekend by the the most physically gifted golfer - Dustin Jonson. The days of a short hitting runt like Corey Pavin winning anything of consequence are done. There is so much money in pro sports that only the biggest and strongest are going to dominate. Gone are the 6,100 yard course od days gone by. They are all 7,500 yards now, and to compete you must blow it 300+ off the tee.
Again, a good thing. If I want to watch a someone hit it 265 yards, I could watch video of myself.

...I used to dislike pro basketball because it was a game of mutant giants.
The Warriors have changed that and made it interesting again - like college basketball - and put emotion back in.
People need to get back to enjoying that those are people out there, not mutant bio-creations. It has not been good for sports in general, as well as for the individual players and their steroid temptations.
What kid thinks he has a chance in hell of being another Le Brawn?
As for fan interest in basketball, the 3-point bombs have replaced the monster dunks as their favorite plays.
... by the refs! Substitute CWebb for LeBrawn, & Kobe for Curry. Bet them obviously blatant bad calls woulda been dished out in reverse fashion. Finals mvp's shoulda been Steve Foster-n-Kiki Vanderweigh!!!
* 73 wins.......Doesn't matter without the Larry O'Brien trophy.***************ASTERISK***************
The 1996 Bulls are still the gold standard.
