I used to love sativa, very energetic.
All we have regularly available here is heavy indica strains that make you drool on yourself, basic sinaloa and maffia strains. Yes even today people are getting killed over it.
Follow Ups:
I tend to prefer some of the newer sativa-dominant hybrid strains. They make you feel energized/sensitized without making you feel too nervous, or too spacey/sluggish.If you are ever in Colorado, check out the sativa/indica strain called "Sour Diesel", my overall favorite. "Bruce Banner" is the another good one and one of the most powerful hybrid strains (almost 30% THC!). Mix and match and have some fun...

Showing my age, Skunk #1 was a favorite of mine as was Chocolate Thai. At least those were the street names in 1994 when I was really into it. I thought it would be legal then, now it doesn't matter to me anymore I don't partake anymore,
Yeah well, the times they are a changin'. Today, there are strains specifically designed to treat or compliment almost every conceivable type of mood or malady.
For a while in the 70s when, if I were stoned, there were certain Pink Floyd tracks which I couldn't play at night unless all the lights were on and all the curtains were closed.
:)
Some say that the best sounding version of "DSOTM" is the relatively rare UK quadrophonic LP version. Outstanding dynamics and a slightly different mix.
The first time I listened to my copy of the UK Quad version I literally jumped from my seat. Even in two-channel stereo, the phase trickery makes it sound as if certain sounds are encircling the listener. I actually hear certain noises coming from directly BEHIND the listening seat.
I never tried listening to it in the dark though, go figure...
Nothing has changed in New York. The same people banning it are selling it after they leave their cushy jobs for the day in the state capital.
Can you imagine legal pot in NY? The taxes imposed on it would seem discouragingly substantial.
I am a tobacco smoker and spend $1,200 a month on cigarettes, NY makes over a billion on tobacco taxes. Out of every 10 people I know one person smokes tobacco the other 9 smoke pot.
The maffia runs NY, imagine how much money they would lose, not going to happen.
