...when you are 5 years old a year is 20% of the time you have been alive and takes a long time.
By the time you are 50 it is 1/50 of the time and flies by.

I'm going back maybe 35 years ago or longer, I was about 20 then, but I still remember his words because they made sense to me then.
He said that the reason time seems to go faster as we age is because the human mind cannot comprehend the concept of time. All we can use to measure time is our life experiences. So to a 10 year old, a year is 10% of his life. While a 50 year old only sees a year as 2% of his life. Obviously 2% is less than 10%, so it would seem to go by quicker.
...Einstein confirmed my theory.
what I experienced last week was it was let's say 12:57pm. Then literally one second it was 12:58 then another second 12:59, then I glanced away it for about 3 seconds and then the clock said 1:07
literally in seconds, I'm not sure what to make of it.
.
Maybe you have a faulty clock ...
I'm not certain, this is a chromebook which is timed to google internet UTC world clock.
maybe I got abducted by aliens? missing time experiences I heard of this before.
Those extraterrestrials are FAST suckers!

They are interdimensional beings, I see the in altered states of consciousness, what was once my floor fan became an entity, I can't put a physical description on them but they are watching, whatever it is not a big deal to me really.
but I prefer any Los Lobos version:

Motion slows you down, so to speak.
I just ate some pizza, happy now.
bacon and pepperoni, I figured because I am a single guy to only get the personal sizes now, the 12" pizzas.
Still cost me $25
also I think it doesn't matter anymore as the dementia starts to take hold. As long as I got a smile on my face :)
I have observed that I eat Pepperoni very fast.
Cheers
Bill
I had 6 slices of that in about 8 minutes last night. No plates, just eaten right over the box.
