Why do people even go to games that are televised when you can purchase a 60 inch 1080P television for under $900, which allows you to see so much more than you can at the game? And, as your son discovered, the hot dogs at home are cheaper and better.

...go see live music when you can hear a CD at home.
I agree about pro football games.
Guess it depends on what you are passionate about.
I never go to televised football anymore. I learned thatvwith pro in the 80's. I still go to untelevised college games which take about two hours, sometimes less.I still go to a baseball game or two a year. I wouldnt go to an NFL game if you gave me tickets. All the commercial breaks in football are too much. The prices are too but that's due a lot for the fact an NFL team has eight home games vs eighty one in baseball.

He went because I gave him the tix at Xmas time. I had been to the SB at Stanford and thought he might enjoy the whole ting...it was a different thing in 1986...he still is glad he went.
Our chili dogs were superb and went well with a Cabernet !!

To quote George Jefferson, That do make a difference! I suppose everyone should attend the SB once. Last week, NPR interviewed an old coot who has been to all 50.
it was a group of 16 friends who had all been to all of the games...interesting stuff I thought...
Somebody should have asked them which one was the best. For me Joe Namath taking Unitas apart. Broadway Joe even predicted it.
Cheers
