I had had 3 or 4 in a short period of time. His advice was don't eat acidic foods or wine after 6 or 7 pm, mainly. Which I've pretty much ignored of course. It hasn't been as bad lately tho. He also said Tums etc occasionally, as needed. The idea is to let the food in your guts move further downstream from your stomach.
OTH, in the middle of the night, you won't find a better alarm clock.

I don't know that I have an ulcer, tho, Tim. Is that what you're talking about? What I was told was that the sphincter (no, not THAT one..) on the top of the stomach gets old when it's as old as the rest of me. So it doesn't slam shut completely water-tight like a duck's butt anymore. So if I go horizontal too soon after eating acidic food, and then my stomach adds some more acid, and that nasty stuff leaks up the wrong direction, etc.... no?
stay vertical as long as possible after eating and while digesting.
Some meals are... easier... than others.
I imagine that no matter how old you are, eating a meal then hitting
horizontal is just NOT a good idear.
Aqua is always good too, helps balance out pH.

Musetap, you're wasting your time. BH is either one f'd up dude (of his own doing), or, this is all part of his research for his doctoral thesis on the psychology of Internet forum behavior.:)

I mentioned to my doc before, these guys don't really care, he said to take Prilosec. He understood the connection between the statins. As it started when I started the statins.
These guys are pill pushers, there seems to be a pill for everything.
Next time I will just swallow a bouquet of pills and not post about my problems or try to find answers, that's the normal way of dealing with this it seems.
