Product placement wars I never noticed till flipping channels today and catching a bit of Nikon vs Canon in everybody's favorite movie. This scene lasted about 30 sec. Hi sets up a Canon to take a family portrait which turns into a Nikon 10 sec later somehow. Haha. Never noticed that.
Follow Ups:
The Nikon isn't quite level.
1. Deliberate little fun thing for the Coens
2. Got product placement $$ from both
3. Shot the scene multiple times and at some point the set-up guys couldn't find the same camera or just yelled 'gimme that small black camera' to the 'go fetch' guys. Didn't notice or think it mattered. Which it doesn't.
Seen that movie an almost embarrassing amount of times.
My wife can recite from memory pages of the script at a time...
"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" -Michael McClure
it's kind of a family joke. Iconic flick, for some.

That's Nick Cage shooting Holly Hunter and their recently stolen little Nathan Jr.

After I noticed the camera switch, I googled. I knew I wouldn't be the first one to catch that.
