when I am serious about tobacco I light up my pipes. This is all an experiment to see how much I can get loaded on a budget. It is working pretty well.
Also, the goal is to live frugal and retire at 55, 17 years left until I retire to the woods.

Beat ya to (most of) it. Instead of *in* the woods, how about beside the woods? Thing is, living in the woods (easy to do here) is a much more sensible/practical thing to do when you're young. There's a big diff in your body and mind between 38 and 55. You'll see, once you get/have been there. :)
Living just outside the woods is fine when you have plenty of time to optionally spend in them. You don't give up much, even for a hermit, these days: neighbors have no probs ignoring you. The woods are always open.
I see what Devils Advocate thought: that is one damn sharp cutter you have there.
I'va always used a Davidoff, nice clean cut every time.
I want to retire early, downsize and then purchase a nice little house for myself with running water, heat, electricity and the Internet. Not exactly in the woods but I would like the woods as my backyard so to speak. I fantasize about being able to sit on an elevated porch overlooking woods. Have a coffee, smoke my pipe and look at trees.
