Interesting setup. Similar to the 335 engine. CarFix did an episode on major tune-up and exhaust repair on the mid-engine 335.
... and probably more like $10,000.In other words, the same amount I pay for an entire automobile + maintenance costs over a period of 20 years (or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first). That's my goal. And, so far, I'm on the fast track to success...

And the owner better stick to that schedule. DOHC, 5 valves per cylinder, high compression, high RPM engine. Where the entire sub-frame holding the engine MUST be dropped to do required maintenance.
As the show CarFix pointed out, the original Ferrari exhaust system is super complicated (overly so) and starts to cut the top-end power, as the metal age and oxidize. The 335 owners on car board all have gone to aftermarket exhaust.
