There's only a few stations in my area which carry ethanol free premium fuel. Many more carry pure gasoline 87 octane, but my car and both bikes require premium. I was very happy to find it.

You might want to research that a little more and save some money.
A well-known automotive industry analyst, Ed Wallace, says that manufacturer recommended high octane gas is unnecessary. He uses 87 octane in all the vehicles he tests. (Go to www.insideautomotive.com).
On the other hand, government mandated ethanol DOES damage engine parts, so if you can avoid it, do so.
:)
As if I need another subject to "investigate" on the internet.
I'm kidding, of course. I appreciate the head's up. So far, from the little bit I've read on the subject, guys say it's a "maybe". It seems that I'll be more likely to get away with lower octane in the cooler temperatures, but we're in the high nineties most of the summer.
Then there's the knock-sensor. My 1999 supercharged Grand Prix likely is equipped. Not so sure about my 2005 H-D, and certainly not my 1973 Shovelhead. As I said, more homework to do!
At any rate, I'm with you. I buy ethanol free gas whenever possible. The link below shows some of the stations in the U.S. and Canada which carry it.
Thanks again.
