Here's the dear little fellow at about 10 weeks. His name is Rufus, as he is a bit russet, no!?
The breed is known by two designations in the USA.
Guess??? American St........... aka P......
He is a typical puppy and he is and will be a job of work for John.
But that is happening.

Timbo-
Best of both worlds-
You get to train a beautiful pup to your house -
and He has a home to return to!
Congrats!
My six year old lab is starting to get a bit goofy - but it is expected-
The only problem will be Rufus v. Dondi Trollop.GGGIII is cool about him, so it seems.

He is a handsome devil.

We've done puppy-relief-care duty a couple of times so far, and you have to follow him around. He was quite wobbly at 8 weeks but strength and control is increasing.
He loves burying himself in our garden. Particularly, leaping at the half-sphere white flower-heads of our garlic chives.
As these are all over the place to encourage bees, and very effective at that, we were a bit worried he would get bitten, but he will never be fast enough to swallow one or even get close.
Guess I'm just a big softie! :-)
Very loyal dogs I believe.
