Oh, are they "your" Cowboys? The NFL sure has you by the short hairs, don't they?
Add to that, where did I say "rigged"? I said crooked, and that's an entirely different thing. I can easily elaborate if you can't see the difference.
Cheers,
Al
I love to know how pro football is crooked. Is pro baseball, soccer, basketball, and hockey similarly crooked as well?

"I love to know pro football is crooked".
You have to be kidding! You claim to be a football fan, but you profess to be unaware of what's been going on in the media in regards to things like the NFL's attempted cover up of the infamous elevator incident, the child beating thug, the collusion between team owners and local governments attempts to get taxpayers to cover the costs of building new stadiums, kickbacks on concession stands etc., just to mention a few things. There's lots more, Google is your friend.
"Is pro baseball, soccer, basketball, and hockey similarly crooked as well?"
C'mon, gimme a break!!!!!!! Why are you questioning me about things that I never even mentioned in my post? Is this some kind of subterfuge/diversion designed to throw readers off the topic or what?
You want pro soccer? I know very little about it, but I'm aware of the match fixing scandals being investigated in Europe, and the bribery committed by a Middle Eastern fixer in order to secure the next World Cup for some oil-rich flea bitten hell-hole. Just get on the net and research articles from the Washington Post, the NY Times, the Huffington Post, the wire, NPR, ABC.net.au, Wikipedia, and insightcrime.org just to name a few.
MLB, the NBA, and other pro sports have their own scandals, mostly driven by owners greed, players drug use & thuggery, and back & forth accusations of racism. But I'm done doing your job for you. Get on the keyboard and research for yourself if you're honestly this naïve.
Cheers,
Al
crooks. I'd say the cited actions fall a bit short of crookery.
IMHO, there's nothing crooked with local municipalities offering incentives to major sports franchises to locate in their jurisdictions. In 2009, the city of Arlington, Tx. footed $350mm of the $1.2b it took to build the Cowboys new stajum. Increased sales taxes/car rental taxes/hotel occupancy taxes fund their contribution. Sounds like a big # but it's spread over decades. BFD.
Far from crooked says I. BTW, those numbers came from the miracle of the Google.
Cheers, David

David,
The fact that the NFL did, in fact, attempt to cover up those actions actually does go to prove that they're crooked.I'll pass on your comments about the new Cowboys stadium and take your word for it that there was no bribery and intimidation going on there at all.
No sense in attempting to debate a zealot, and no insult intended. :-)
Cheers,
Al

As far as Jerry World (Cowboy's stajum nickname), Arlington's bid was well ahead of Irving's (where the Cowboys used to play), and Dallas'. Our leaders in Dallas, such as they are, didn't sufficiently step up to the plate, which was a huge mistake. There was a perfect site north of downtown just north of where the Mavericks basketball arena was built. Obviously you feel different and you ain't exactly the lone ranger in that regard. I respect that.
