No NFL = 1700 more inmates.
No PGA Tour = 300 more Doctors, stock brokers, business owners.

I haven't seen "Selma" yet (It'll be on Netflix soon enough), though I'm not sure what that has to do with deflate gate, NFL, or professional golf.
Do I believe that by and large PGA TOUR players are better citizens than their NFL counterparts? You betcha I do! Just take a look at the arrest records of each organization.
Let me give a golf example. If Rory McElroy were caught using a golf ball that did not meet USGA or R & A specs in a tournament he competed in much less won, then he would be immediately disqualified and forced to forfeit the victory.
Case closed.
10 or so years back Ian Woosnam found 15 clubs in his bag while playing in a major. Upon learning this he turned himself in to a rules official and was subsequently by rule disqualified - He fired his drunken idiot caddy later that day.

Certainly there are good citizens in the NBA (whom I didn't mention), as well as the NFL. Compare the arrest records of the PGA Tour against virtually any other sport.
Have you ever heard of a PGA Tour member kicking the ever loving shit out of his child, wife, or girl friend?
How about a PGA member involved in a fight or shooting outside of a nightclub at 2 am?

inner city slums? Do you not know the percentage of kids that play football come from those kinds of places? That football (and basketball) are considered tickets out-of-poverty and hardship because they are based purely on performance (sure, a kid of color can get good grades, go to a good school, and then be passed over for a job because so-and-so's kid plays golf w/the owner's kid).
Next up, you'll be marveling that SAT scores are higher in white suburbs than in those populated by folks of color.
You did say "better citizens," too. If that isn't demeaning and racist, what is?
Tin;
You state that football, basketball,(and presumably baseball) are based "purely on performance", and pro golf is not?
I would suggest that professional golf is based more on performance than ANY of those other sports. Why? Simple, there are NO contracts in professional golf! If you don't perform - you don't eat. If your in a slump you don't get paid. If you have a off year or are injured, your off of the tour.
We constantly see players in those other sports who are over paid, and not living up to their contract (Albert Puhols, Jay Cutler come immediately to mind). This is not so on the PGA or European Tour.
Let's visit the issue of "better citizens";
Why in your mind is it demeaning or racist when I point out the arrest records of some of these characters from the NFL? In your mind, is good citizenship and good behavior something that is only for the affluent pale faces of society? If anything you inference that if someone is from the inner city or slums they should be held to a lower standard of behavior, or simply be given a pass for acting like a thug.
In my mind it's racist to give a race or socioeconomic group a "pass" for such behavior. There are plenty of great citizens that have come from less than desirable upbringings, just like there are scum bags that grew up with privilege.
Let's start holding all people to the same standard of citizenship and stop giving a pass to bad and criminal behavior.
I have included a few photos of good citizens of color from the PGA Tour.
These are not fringe players, but in fact, most are winners of major championships.

Exactly - If your golf game is in a slump you do not get paid as a professional golfer.
Sorry for the confusion.

Wow, you have been bought - hook, line and sinker.
What is this politically correct crap going on today?Everything has to have a racial connotation put on it or a sexual preference one. Get over it. The whole world walks on egg shells because we are worried about offending some group and 90% those groups insult themselves..Go listen to one of Chris Rock's videos and tell me what you hear? Now while there are a lot of African Americans in the NFL,there are also plenty of caucasian NFL players and athletes that have gotten trouble as well..When you get knocked in the head as many times as those guys have,you would act like a dip shit to no doubt.It doesn't matter where you come from..

some Facebook posts in the aftermath of the Ferguson deal that a "friend" of mine posted that were borderline racist. I've read your posts for quite some time and you aren't a racist.

The guy who mouthed off about how he should be pitied because of all the taxes he had to pay on his millions? And… was under investigation by the FBI for tax evasion/insider trading?
That "clean" PGA guy?
I'm with Phil. I'd save 10% a year living in Florida for 6 months and day.
And how much do you pay in sales tax? Ours is 8%.
