Football isn't really one 60 minute game, it's two 30 minute games.

And the Super Bowl is two 30 minute games with lots of commercial breaks, and an hour long half-time production. I think the best of the NFL games are today's. They happen in front of stadiums filled with home crowd enthusiasm, such as it is. I went to the first SB game in '67 as a young kid, and remember thinking that I had no stake in the game. Now if the LA Rams had been there, Wow! The only thing I remember clearly, was the guy in the jet pack floating around the floor of the Coliseum. It was so loud I had to cover my ears. The stadium was half full, too.
Both are sentimental favorites. I love Seattle's spirit; just a bunch of geeks playing football who never understood losing. Wilson will not entertain the idea. On the other side, Brady has been an absolute role model of excellence for his entire career, on and off the field.
It's going to be tough watching one lose, but I favor the Hawks chances because of the above.
it as well as the two best coaches.
I'm also torn between the two, though I've been a long-suffering Vikes fan since I saw their first game at Bloomington in the early 60s: a defeat of the Bears by, going purely on memory, 39-13? Tommy Mason. Hugh McElhenny. Norm van Brocklin. All Hall-of-Fame guys a little long in the tooth but still w/many good years left in the tank...
Didn't see that coming.
