Amongst the fuss over Sony wimping out, we have "experts" attempting to make their "important" statements seem even more so, possibly impressing people we probably are better off not knowing.
“Capitulation to cyber extortion will incentivize other actors to achieve political gains via cyber intrusions and threats”...

assassination of our president?
The teenage-boy mentality of American movies hopefully hit its nadir with this film.
That said, allowing our free speech--- no matter how reprehensible--- to be silenced by a foreign government is a little shocking. This is a little complex, however, and the "our" is clouded by the fact that Sony is a Japanese corporation. I wonder if the Japanese government weighed in and decided the political fallout, the possible escalation against a fairly loony head of state wasn't worth the hassle?
and how it's more frequently utilized and quoted from by the media than the situation between a country
led by loonies (not a unique trait) and the corporate pussies, Sony.

Maybe it'll be released on BRD one day?

so there's no way it won't be released on disc/streaming sooner than we think.
Likely under a different title in an attempt to fool them crazy NK's!

The reactions by the NKs make em look absolutely freekin childish. I'd imagine that you, who follow foreign films infinitely more closely than I do, could cite any number of foreign flicks which demean the good ol USA."Documentaries", released primarily in Europe after 9/11, like Zero and 9/11 Missing Link amongst others, unambiguously accuse the USA of being behind 9/11.
I don't recall any reaction from our government even approaching NK's reaction over this silly Rogen/Franco comedy. We're lucky Tarantino wasn't around in '39 making Inglorious Basterds. Hitler would have REALLY been pissed.
Glad NK never found out about Team America, World Police, they would have sent out hit squads searching for Gary, Lisa, Chris and the gang. They appear to have gotten Spottswoode tho :(

North Korea has been steadily waging an unceasing war against everyone in the west.
They have kidnapped Japanese citizens walking on a beaches in order to train their agents about the modern world. Some have been held for decades and have since married and settled in Korea but not because they had a choice.
North Korean Freighters have been found filled with Crystal Meth for sales in Japan and America. DEA is of the opinion that North Korea was the origin of the current epidemic.
North Korea was the source of those "super bills": hundred dollar bills so perfect, the money counting machines could not distinguish them from the real ones and prompting the US to redo all their currency. The only way these bills were found out was that tellers noticed that they felt a little slimy, but they were so perfect, that they would pass even a close visual scrutiny. These were originally thought to have been a product of Israeli counterfeiters
we react positively to a film from an unfriendly nation that had a plot involving the sanctioned killing of OUR president?
How long will it be until other nations unleash cyber warfare against us, the country that chose to cancel a movie rather than even express indignation at an attack?
