The Chiefs seemed to have found a weakness in the Seahawks run defense (rated #5)as Jamal Charles had a fine day at work. Mr Lynch may have been in beast mode but he was stopped by the Chiefs' D time and again. Ten games into the season and no one has scored a rushing touchdown against the Chiefs.
On the other hand, the Chiefs still haven't thrown a touchdown pass to a wide receiver this season.
After an 0-2 start, the Chiefs have won seven out of eight games. Its still too early to get onto the Super Bowl bandwagon.
Follow Ups:
I see so many defenders these days trying to stop runners with high tackles. Running backs have great leg strength. Thats why they are running backs. Lynch has to be dropped at the legs or by a defensive player going straight on, which many won't do because its painful.
Hawks don't have the repeat drive going this year. Good but not great like they were. Also Denver, starting out the season like shot from a cannon, is dropping like a cannonball. Don't know if its injuries or what, but both the Seahawks and Broncos are looking past prime.
easy way to stop a big NFL runner; hit him low, the thunder thighs will knock you out (or the knees will). Hit them high, and their linebacker-sized upper bodies will blow you off.
You see, now, lots of safeties/corners, mostly outweighed by premier backs, come up and try tackling the ankles by "sweep" tackling. That can work if perfectly timed; often, the runner can step/jump over or otherwise avoid the body launched at his lower body.
