In today's world when money is at stake there will be a war. It could be climate change, it might be whether a fracking is safe or whether a prescription drug is good or bad. You will find arguments, detailed studies and papers from scholars and guess what? You'll find them on each side of the issue. Guess what else? It doesn't have to be something as profound as what I mentioned. If it's just a product with a paltry few million at stake there will be that same war. Their goal, too often but not always, is their agenda which relates directly to money, not the truth. So how will you ever really know what is truth and what isn't?You won't. And that is what you need to know. Of course where gluten is concerned I pointed out here that there is no evidence of obesity in man until the Egyptians started milling grains (producing gluten) My guess is all the huh-bub of late on this issue relates to how shitty we farm and process grains. Between genetic mods and pesticides and other issues this and most other processed food is much worse than even a few decades ago. This will have side effects that directly affects some but not all the users and that is part of the problem in defining things.
I think we all know somebody that smoked all their life and still lived a long productive life. (I had an aunt make it till 103 that smoked Chesterfields) They F up the curve just like the smart kid in your class did back in the day.Sometimes even when it is obvious which fork in the road to take like on the new "added sugar" category for food labeling there is still a war with lots of money flowing. Imagine the corn industry that produces corn syrup (an added sugar never naturally occurring) being against this new labeling...........so follow the money

...I hope you saw John Oliver talk about this Sunday night.
It was hilarious as it was alarming.
I did indeed, good call.
