OR wines!
Pinot is the greatest red varietal, subtler than the others, more flavor nuances. For serious cooks, it's the best accompaniment because it won't overpower food.
Dallas? Romo will fall… Not sure about Philly QB situation, though. I think other teams will appear.
Follow Ups:
Highlands (best Pinot region in the USA imho). Spending more ($42+) won't necessarily get you more.
I'm so experienced in Pinot Noirs I've even had some from, gasp, Oregon's Willamette Valley. Every now and then they've actually been good//

They also make a nice Chard.
Edit- I was asking for "under" $40. The "less than" sign came out looking like a (Those 3 I listed range from $40-$42 at our Total Superstore. I guess they're values, in the sense they compete well against much higher priced Pinots and French Burgundies, but their "raw" price gives me pause when it comes to calling them values :)
BTW, I prefer my Pinot Noirs as full bodied as possible (considering the grape), definitely not a fan of "light and delicate".

Adam and Dianna Lee are great people. Adam is very accessible and he will talk to you.
Their Pinots from Santa Rita Hills, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sonoma Coast, and Russian River Valley are all fine wines and good values. Some are a bit more than $40, others less. The Sonoma can be had for well under $30.
Their Clos Pepe is a big, age worthy Pinot. Jeb Dunnick at WA says it will live for 10-12 years. It's sourced from Santa Rita Hills. The "Pisoni" might be the best of their 2012s but it will set you back about $55. That said, I have always enjoyed their regular release Santa Lucia Highlands. (A blend from barrels that don't make the single vineyard releases.) Great fruit, complex, and a good value at $30. See link below for Siduri's current releases.
La Crema's Willamette Valley just received a 90 point score from the WS and sells for $25-28.
thoroughly "investigate" Siduri's Pinots starting with this Sunday's wine night. Since I'll be bar b queing (with heavy smoke) we'll probably have one of the Siduris early before dinner and have a hearty Z with the meal.
