Not sure what this is. I found a few trying to crawl into the house. It is stink bug season here in Virginia, but I have never seen any like this. Anyone know what this is? They look like some prehistoric type of insect.

Rockpassion is correct, it is an assassin bug. There are several types. Looks sort of like a wheel bug but not quite (IMO).

Looks like an assassin bug (reduviidae). They are a predators of other bugs.
By the way they can bite (stick their long proboscis into you like a mosquitos) it hurts but no poison and is gone in a minute or two. So don't pick it up. They are good in the garden.
